January 8 is the essential day for us. One year ago Gambit announced an acquisition of CS:GO roster to the Esports community. We decided to bring our memory up to date and recall some bright moments, which happened with our team!

The opening roster of our organization was focused on the experience. A trio of HellRaisers ex-players under the supervision of Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov and with young talented Yan "wayLander" Rahkonen was quite perspective.  The squad began to show themselves beginning with the very first tournaments: after the challenging victory at the first CIS minor there was success at the qualifier for MLG Columbus. Although the performance at the Major itself wasn't that bright (they didn't manage to advance from the group), the team got precious experience and motivation to develop further.

Before the qualifier for the next Major the team dared to make a shift: instead of wayLander the guys chose talented Ivan "spaze" Obrezhan as their teammate. With Ivan's coming Gambit relieved tough period of adaptation and reconstruction, which went together with poor results in online tournaments. Nevertheless, the squad managed to reach a pick of their shape by the start of closed qualifiers for the second Major of the year - ESL One Cologne 2016. With the second try Gambit did advance from the group at the tournament of that worth: the guys went from the first place from the group, where their opponents were Astralis, Dignitas and CLG, having gotten the Legend status.

After the tournament in Cologne, Gambit took part in the ELEAGUE tournament, which matches were translated on the American Channel TBS. Our team did not perform well at the most intense championship of 2016, as it lost the elimination match to the future champions, Virtus Pro.

Then they came back home and success at Moscow Adrenaline Cyber League followed. After this tournament the team decided to bid farewell to the captain: hooch quit from the team and soon former Natus Vincere leader Zeus took his place. Rotation touched "young blood" as well: instead of spaze, young talented Tengri player Hobbit was accepted to the team. Current squad pleased the fans with three victories in a row: DreamHack Winter, Acer Predator Masters 3, WESG Apac Qualifier.

The year 2017 is full with ambitious aims, which the current CS:GO roster is able to manage. Even in the Eve of the New Year's holidays our team went to train to please the fans with great game and solid results in the upcoming tournaments.
