In the final battle of PGL Major Krakow Gambit defeated Immortals and became the champion of this Major.
The initial map of this confrontation wasn't smooth for our guys. At their pick, Immortals gained the absolute advantage: unfortunately, Cobblestone ended too quickly - 16:4 in favor of the Brazilians. On Train, a serious fight unfolded between the teams, but our guys broke Immortals' attempts to come back and brought this fight to a temporary draw on the maps, winning Train with a score of 16:11! The decisive map for the whole Major was Inferno, where the beginning was completely dominated by Gambit. In the second half we saw an equal fight from the teams, but Gambit managed to put an end to this map, beating Immortals with a score of 16:10. Having beaten the Brazilians on two maps, Gambit became champions!
Our team lost at this tournament only 2 maps, but not a single match. Gambit were able to leave behind strong opponents such as Virtus.pro (home team), fnatic (Swedes, who did not let us in the quarterfinals of Majors twice in a row) and Astralis (winners of the last Majort in Atlanta)! For the first time in its history, Gambit won the title of the strongest world team and the championship cup of PGL Krakow Major!
