What a great autumn our guys experienced! Gambit team managed to combine business with pleasure, travelling around Europe they got to take part in two tournaments and with a new line-up win their first trophy. But all the time: let’s recall as it was.
The capital of France was the very first place of destination. Guys approached to outstanding Paris for a historically rich Electronic Sports World Cup, which can de jure be treated as one of the oldest e-sports tournaments (LAN originates since 2003). With its new line-up Gambit debuted within the world biggest game show, held in the huge center ‘Porte de Versaille’.
Thanks to great start of the tournament Gambit team got a chance to enjoy a day off and spend it as they wanted. Apart from trainings they abstracted from the tournament and got pleasure from street musicians, arranged a photo session near a famous historical French monument, Eiffel Tower, and one of the hugest world art museums, Louvre. We left ESWC even earlier though got priceless experience and achieved certain success (left the group from the first place, got to the top 5-8 of the tournament) and made good time!
Paris LAN organization itself was not that perfect. Though match delays, problems with the Internet and sniper mou’s ‘trouble’ with a rodent did never spoil the fighting spirit of the team! The captain of the team Zeus tweeted about other basic problems: ‘Not to be taken as an excuse but ESWC need to get more powerful computers. 100-150 fps is not enough.
The trip to Germany went on. Leaving behind an unpleasant defeat, Gambit with a new portion of enthusiasm went to do their best at bootcamp in Krefeld. That was the place to hold the next tournament. It is not accidentally that the logo of German studio Take TV is a picture of home. Organizers created unique atmosphere, which allowed the guys to combine e-sports with some rest. Aside from playing place in the studio it also had bar, foosball, poker table, sofas, PlayStation, and a lot more.
After the first tense day the guys finally had enough sleep and got out for a team walk and a shared lunch. They told about their devices in a video blog, and Rustem even took time for shopping. Surely the sweetest moment was all about winning on Predator Masters!
Last two weeks was so saturated, but our guys’ trips aren’t about to halt. In the nearest future Mou, AdreN and Hobbit go for the LAN-finals WESG APAC to South Korea. Wish them never slow down and get to the new tops!
