Gambit CIS players disagree with their assessment

In his article a famous within the CIS scene caster and analyst Alexander "Awertum" Troshin gave a review on Gambit LoL squad's performance during the LCL Challenger Series.
"Despite the majority considering Gambit's jungler [Ed. Note: Diamondprox] to be the main and only reason of the team's flawless season, it’s far from being true. Fomko showed himself as a consistent midlaner, able to farm 200 creeps in 20 minutes as well as besting his opponents. His Azir and Lissandra gave Gambit.CIS team's compositions the necessary control in team fights, while his Ahri and LeBlanc made his enemies play passively the second he disappeared from his lane. He outplayed 1v1 every Mid Laner in LCL Challenger Series, and is looking to repeat his success in LCL as well."
In addition to that, Awertum also highlighted Gambit ADC Lex's impact on the game: "LeX is the other essential member of the team, who stayed at his form and quickly learned playing marksmen who were in meta. Jhin, Kog'Maw, and even Kindred – LeX is not afraid to be considered vulgar if he is confident in his skill on a certain champion. Although when Gambit have full control of the game, he starts trolling and building such items as Mejai's Soulstealer, two Essence Reavers and Duskblade of Draktharr. In LCL he won’t be forgiven for such moves".
In the conclusion of his article, Awertum focused on problems that may prevent Gambit from being successful in LCL: "Archie's narrow champion pool and BloodFenix's low impact on early game are two worrying trends that the team has already started working on. For the summer split Gambit also need to find a permanent coach as, according to the LCL rules, Diamondprox cannot occupy two positions at the same time. But comparing to other LCL teams, such problems seem to be just temporary ones. The organization proudly claims that LCL slot is just the first step on their way to Worlds Championship".
Team's opinion:
Gambit players were somewhat confused by some of the author’s statements. Viacheslav "Archie" Egorov, in particular, noted that his narrow champion pool in this season was not an issue, but rather an attempt to play the meta champions. The other similar example is SKT T1 support Wolf, who played 41 games in LCK regular split mostly on 3 champions: 14 games on Alistar, 11 on Trundle and 9 on Braum. It is also weird that Awertum didn’t mention Corki, on whom Fomko played the most during the Challenger Series.
What about the coach then? This question is to be solved until the end of April, when the organization will consider all the candidates.
