Right after Gambit Gaming's victory at IEM Cologne, our AD Carry Kristoffer “P1noy” Pedersen published a blog on his Facebook page on his experience at this tournament. In this blog he talks about his own performance, going up against CLG's Doublelift, his plans for Christmas and New Year and his outlook on the upcoming LCS Split.

Kristoffer “P1noy” Pedersen:
"Hello guys! It's early morning and I'm currently waiting for breakfast with diamond!
As promised I wanted to make a post regarding our games and IEm and a tournament
Going into IEM I didn't really know where we standed as a team compared to the other teams cause nobody of the teams haven't really played any tournaments on the new patch - but we had practiced 1 month prior the tournament really hard
I was non existent in the first game vs DIG, but I was also super nervous thinking if I would fail and everything would go wrong and dignitas did a great job putting a lot of pressure bot - I was super frustrated about my performance but my team did exceptionally well and carried me - I gained confidence and overcome the nervous in the first game and showed impact and tried to help my team getting the 2-0 victory which we managed to do so. I made some flashy plays and we fought great in team fights
So this tournament was abit weird for me - I wasn't 100% consistent and I didn't play perfectly at all, I made a lot of mistakes , laning wise but also positional mistakes - I made random soloq plays especially game 3 vs clg I basically threw the game
all by myself and I was super mad and frustrated that I let my team down in such situation - things like that aren't allowed to happen in this level of competition and it's something I personally have to work on - I'm super happy for all the feedback I got.
--DOUBLELIFT vs p1noy??
As you all know or most of you know that I was and still am a huge DOUBLELIFT fan, I've enjoyed watching him ever since season 1 in Epik gamer and just throughout his career always liked this style of split pushing and trying to make those plays - it was such a big honor for me to face him in this tournament I even wrote to him prior this tournemant that I hoped that I get to face him - luckily I did so and I would rate my performance pretty allright - he played really great and in the end I felt like he also deserved to win cause of his performance, but once again it's a team game and u play and win as a team -
On this day I had the better team and we ended up winning - I still have huge respect for him and will continue being his fan even tho I'm a professional myself, it was the guy I looked up to since I started playing and I was a nobody and it felt pretty good killing him a few times solo ( still love u Peter)
----------------------------
I'm really happy with this team and I have a lot of confidence in our team improving and being a top team in EU it's so great to play with such skilled and motivated player alongside yourself and I can't be thankful enough for such an amazing organization gambit is it in self
As now it's soon Christmas and new year is also coming - I'm ofc gonna celebrate with family and enjoy the time - but I want to practice
I have a lot to work on which i noticed in the games - I'm super motivated to play a lot but it's also important not to burn out before the LCS starts - last month has been abit rough dealing with personal problems and things happening in your life but also needing to focus on what is now your work and job- I'm just overwhelmed everything worked out and we won
all the praise I got regarding my aggressive style and lying in my bed reading all the positive comments just nearly makes me shed a tear.

Time for me to say thanks for reading, thanks for all the messages ( keep letting them come, I will try to reply to everyone) thanks to the amazing people coming to the studio,
Asking for autographs,
Pictures etc - thanks to all the new and old fans that kept sticking with gambit - I hope we can make u proud in the EULCS
Last but least! Thanks to Gambit Gaming for making this a possibility and thanks to NiQ, Diamond, cabochard and my lane partner Edward
For playing exceptionally well
Sorry if it was super long but that's all I had to say
Merry Christmas and happy new year p1noy"
