The first day of DreamHack Winter began for Gambit CS:GO with 16:10 victory over American-Canadian line-up of OpTic Gaming.

We were to play with the opponent on Cobblestone. Our team started off as defense and after having won the pistol round we somehow came to give away force buy. However, then the guys showed that they didn’t come to the tournament as tourists, winning 7 rounds in a row in the first half. Mou deserves special attention for his bright performance on the map and being the best player of the match.

The second half though made us worry about our guys, the rival was fortunate several times during the later parts of the rounds, once few seconds lacked for the bomb to be planted, once several opponents survived on low health. However, it was our captain Zeus who put an end, making the clutch against two and bringing the starting victory for his team in the group.

We are to play the winners match against  Renegades very soon, at 9pm CET. Earlier, the Australians shocked us by sending the group favorite  Cloud9 to the losers bracket.
