LCL Spring 2017: Week Two Review

The second week of LCL Spring 2017 was rather unsuccessful for Gambit LoL, as our guys did not manage to pick a single victory. Our frustration is magnified by the fact that our match against Vaevictis eSports was subject to a remake due to technical difficulties at the studio. For the second time in a row in the history of our League of Legends division we did not manage to carry momentum over and secure a victory in a remake.

A challenging baptism of fire for Gambit LoL

The first season of LoL Continental League kicks off this weekend. Our new roster led by Danil "Diamondprox" Reshetnikov expects a challenging baptism of fire as Gambit LoL is set to face LCL Summer 2016 semi-finalists NaVi and reigning champions M19 (ex-Albus NoX Luna). Given that Riot Games new studio in Moscow isn't ready yet to accommodate teams this week, the games will be played in an online setting.

Some of the changes got revealed in the CIS Challenger Series. The main news is a certain transformation: the last year the CIS Challenger Series was organized by StarLadder, whereas this year the second division will be run by Riot Games.

Gambit LoL seeks the head coach

Gambit Esports starts to accept applications for the post of head coach of League of Legends team. Gambit LoL is one of the eight LoL Continental League participants. The competitive cycle of 2017 is set to begin at the end of January, in turn, the team plans to start full training at a gaming hose in Moscow in the first half of January. At the moment, the team consists of Danil "Diamondprox" Reshetnikov, Ivan "FIRees" Silantiev and Valentin "NikSar" Zimakov. Our new Mid Laner and Support will be announced in the near future.

Gambit won’t take part in LCL Open Cup

Gambit Esports organization has decided not to participate in LCL Open Cup. Now we are still holding tryouts, concerning this our League of Legends line-up hasn’t been fully formed yet.
