From the 6th of October you will get a chance to root for national teams in the European qualifiers for WESG 2016. The tournament will take place at Stereo Plaza in Kiev, where 20 teams from all over Europe will compete for 8 spots at the world championship in China.

One of the Russian teams is a mix of players from different organizations. Gambit Esports was supposed to be represented by Mikhail "Dosia" Stolyarov. However, despite taking part in the local qualifiers, he won’t be able to go to Kiev due to family commitments. Gambit’s ex-captain, Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov, will fight for a chance to advance to WESG Global Grand Finals (which has a record prize pool for CS:GO of $1,500,000) alongside FlipSid3’s electronic and WorldEdit, as well as Preparation’s jmqa and ub1que. The team will play under the name of  .Russia, and is in the same group with  Virtus.Pro,  .Norway,  Bpro and  Guerilla Method.

It’s worth noting that the organizer of the tournament is Alibaba Group, a Chinese public company, specializing in e-commerce. The Grand Finals of the tournament with the biggest prize pool in CS:GO history will be held in Shanghai at the end of the year.

Come to see some quality Counter-Strike and root for Gambit’s ex-captain hooch on October 6-9 at the Stereo Plaza.
