In a couple of weeks Gambit CS:GO squad will take part in the offline-qualifiers for the next ESL One: Cologne 2016 Major tournament. On June 9 - 12 sixteen teams will meet in Katowice, Poland, in order to fight for 8 tournament spots.

Format: The qualifier consists of five rounds, each encounter is BO1. The teams will resume playing until they win three maps (qualify for Major) or they lose three maps (eliminated from competition). The pairs in the first round are based on a seeding. In the remaining rounds everyone will face the teams with an equal score.

Upon the conclusion of the fifth round, eight remaining teams will qualify for ESL One: Cologne 2016.

About ESL One: Cologne
ESL One: Cologne 2016 will take place on July 5 - 10 in Cologne, Germany. Along with with the winners of the qualifiers, 8 best teams from Columbus Major: Ukraina Na'Vi, Polsha VP, Shvecia NiP, Shvecia Fnatic, Dania Astralis, Brazilia LG, USA Liquid and USA CLG, will also participate at the tournament with $1,000,000 prize pool. The format of the Major didn't change and remained the same: at first teams will play in the group stage, and 2 best teams from each group will advance to play-offs. The last stage of the tournament will follow the Olympic system. Just like last year ESL One: Cologne 2016 will be held at one of the best European arenas - Lanxess-Arena.
